Privacy Policy

Aqail is an app for organizing tasks and meetings by voice. This page explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to delete it.

What we collect

• Account: the identifier sent by “Sign in with Apple” or “Google”, or your email address if you sign in with an email code, and your name.
• Content you add: tasks, meetings and follow-ups, shared lists and their members, and the time spent working on tasks.
• Settings: your city or approximate location (optional, to calculate prayer times) and your time zone.
• Notifications: your device’s push notification token, so we can deliver reminders and the morning summary to you.
• Usage counter: the number of times AI features are used each month, for plan limits.
• Usage analytics: which screens and features are used (for example: opening the lists screen, sorting tasks by voice), along with general device and country information. This does not include the text of your tasks, your name or your email.

Voice

Speech is converted to text by the speech recognition service on your phone (from Apple or Google), and Aqail does not send the audio recording to its servers. What reaches us is the text only.

Artificial intelligence

When you tap “Sort it” or “Draft it”, we send the text you typed or said, together with the names of your lists, to the Claude service from Anthropic so it can sort it or write the draft, and we return the result to you. We do not use your data to train any model.

Analytics

We use “Google Analytics for Firebase” to learn which features are useful and to improve the app. It collects anonymous usage events and a random app identifier, does not use the advertising ID, and we do not link it to your account or your content. We do not use it for advertising.

Location

If you tap “Use my location” in Settings, we ask for location permission and store an approximate location (rounded to about a kilometer) to calculate prayer times where you are. We do not track you, and you can choose a city instead.

“Remind me when I arrive”: if you choose a place for a task (home, work, or your current location), that place’s location is stored with the task so the reminder reaches you. Your phone compares your location with the task’s place while you are using Aqail, and your live location is not sent to us or stored. Home and work are stored on your phone only, and you can clear them from Settings.

Calendar

If you allow the app to access your calendar, we add your meetings to a calendar named “Aqail” on your phone itself. We do not read your other calendars.

Crash reports

If an error occurs in the app, we receive a report containing a description of the error and where it occurred in the code, the app version and the device type. It does not include the text of your tasks.

Messages and email

We send your sign-in code to your email, and if you turn on “Morning summary by email” we send you a summary of your day. You can turn it off from Settings at any time. We do not send advertisements, and we do not share your email with anyone.

Where data is stored

• On our own server (aqail.clevbit.com) over an encrypted connection.
• We do not sell your data, there are no ads, and we do not share it with anyone except the services mentioned above to run the features: Anthropic for AI, Google Analytics for Firebase for analytics, and the Expo, Apple and Google notification services to deliver notifications.
• Tasks in shared lists are visible only to members of that same list.

Deleting your data

From inside the app: Settings → Delete account. Your account, your tasks and the lists you own are permanently deleted from our server immediately.

Children

Aqail is not directed at children under 13.
